Purcell Electric was started in 1984 by Bob Purcell in Dripping Springs, Texas. As a Master Electrician and former electrical inspector for the City of Austin, Bob worked tirelessly for neighbors and newcomers to the area. His son, Todd Purcell, joined him and the two established a flourishing business in the Texas Hill Country.
Todd went on to acquire his Master Electrician license and maintains it to this day. The business has grown from a 2-man van to a fleet of over 10 vehicles that serve the growing population and expanse of the Texas Hill Country and beyond.
The company became a certified sales, installation, and service dealer for Generac in 2021, further expanding its list of services for our customers.
Purcell Electric has seen many changes in years past and actively pursues training and keeping its employees up to date on changes to the NEC electrical code, local utility provider requirements and advancements in technology for the various products in the market.
One thing that sets Purcell Electric apart from its competition is the personal attention to your needs and the overall company work environment dedicated to taking care of the customer.
Installing a home backup generator is an exciting time. Purcell Electric Inc will prepare the installation site outside your home, place the generator, run the natural gas or LP fuel line, install the transfer switch, and make all of the necessary electrical connections. And we will make sure that your backup generator runs properly, and is ready for its first power outage.
You invested in a Generac automatic home backup generator, and now you're never without power. But just like a car, air-cooled backup generators need to be properly maintained to perform as intended. We recommend you have your unit serviced every 6 months. Our factory-trained technicians are available to handle all your Generac servicing needs.
